As a certified baby and toddler sleep consultant and founder of Teach To Sleep, I’ve spent over 15 years helping families navigate the challenges of toddler and infant sleep. As a gentle sleep consultant, I use responsive methods rather than “cry it out.” For Rachel’s family, we implemented:

  • Introducing a comforting soft toy

  • Role play around self-settling skills

  • Ensuring a sleep-friendly bedroom: pitch-black room, 16–20°C temperature (as recommended by The Lullaby Trust)

These techniques support toddlers in learning to self-soothe while keeping sleep positive and stress-free.
